overly detailed serveces?

At around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, I received a message on LINE saying, "Amazon is scheduled to deliver your order between 10:00-10:20."

When I read the message, my first thought was, "Is it safe to specify such a precise time? The carrier must really be pushing it." The package actually arrived around 10:40 a.m., but even so, I thought it was impressive.

As a customer, I appreciate the service, but even if they didn’t provide such a narrow delivery window, it wouldn’t be a problem at all. If market competition is forcing companies to offer such overly detailed services, and it's causing employees to lose their flexibility, I think it might be better to dial back on this kind of service.
