contrasting ways of spending a holiday

A is a competent business person working for a foreign company.  On a Sunday morning he went to a language school to improve his English, and then had lunch at a polular Italian restaurant and worked out at the gym. Next he took a private piano lesson and finally got home.  As he had some free time before supper, he watched a movie on DVD.  He did not have much conversation with his family during supper.  After supper, he confined himself to his study to prepare for the next week work and then went to bed at 11 p.m.  The next day he knew that his rivals at the office had a more fulfilling holiday.  He regretted having watched a movie during the free time. He thought that he should have used the free time more effectively.

B is an easygoing person and works at a small company near his home. On the same Sunday morning he got up very late and lay down with his children, watching TV until lunch time. After lunch he took a nap.  Then he went to a neaby park with his family and had a good time there.  Returning home, he had supper chatting cheerfully with his family. After supper he cleaned the table and washed the dishes for his wife as he always did. Then he watched TV programs on his hobbies; golf and fishing. He went to bed at 10 p.m.

I don't mean to say which way of spending a holiday is desirable, however, it seems to me is that more and more business people are feeling pressed to fill even a holiday with as many intellectual or useful activities as possible instead of just relaxing or having fun.  I'm afraid that the ideas of avoiding waste and improvement of efficiency are invading holidays.
